Metallic Media

ColdBlood

I knew an act from Brazil called ColdBlood, being active during the first half of the Nineties. And because this release (which was send to me, the kind way, by my dear colleague Aleksey K. from e.g. the Abigorum project and Satanath Records), did deal with a Rio De Janeiro based act with the very same name, I was kind of wondering: is this the very same band? So, here I seemed to suffer from a period of total amnesia.

Poezd Rodina / Funeral Tears

Frozen Tranquillity is a collaboration in between two projects from Russia (one partly injected with human flesh from Ukrainian soil), which sees the light via, once again, an unholy marriage in between Metallic Media and Symbol Of Domination Productions. It brings three tracks by each participant, resulting in an experience that lasts for fifty four minutes. Here we go…

Exterminas

Italy’s Exterminas return with their second full length album, Dichotomy, which lasts for forty minutes. Like most releases via Satanath Records, and once again in collaboration with Metallic Media, it was pressed on 500 copies, but apparently 200 copies got lost for one reason or another, so there are 300 copies left. …sorry, 299 copies in meantime, hèhè…

Chiral

Chiral is the name of a very young one-man band, but despite the very young age (the project began in early 2014), there were quite some releases in mean time (demos, singles and two splits). Amongst those, a demo called Abisso

Dulia

Dulia are a totally new project from Sicily, formed by three extremely talented musicians: Vincenzo ‘K. Mega’ Giuffrè (keyboards and drum programming) (think: Abgott, Throne Of Molok, Beasts Of Torah etc.), Elio ‘Elagabal’ Mangiaracina (bass and vocals) (known from Psychopath Witch especially), and Tony ‘Zagreus’ Frenda (guitars, vocals) (ex-Tragoidia, Necrosis, Thrash Bombz, Kawir etc.).

Sea Of Despair

Sea Of Despair are a Russian combo that did celebrate its tenth anniversary earlier this year. Throughout the past decade, they did record and release a handful of EP’s as well as two full lengths. One of those, Mоре Отчaяния (aka More Otchayaniya, which means ‘sea of despair’), was released in June 2009 via Wolfshade Records.

Taiga

The meaning of ‘taiga’ has to do with the green forest lands at the Arctic and Subarctic areas of our dearest Mater Terra. It means coldness, it means nature, it means emptiness and desolation, extent and, at the same time, littleness, emptiness, integrity. I think it’s rather logical that this Russian (Siberian) band did go for that specific moniker.

Astarium

In case you want some additional information about this solo-outfit of NitroAtmosphericum’s label owner SiN, I’d like to refer to the reviews I did for Wyrm Of Melancholy and Atenvx, on November 11th 2014 and December 1st 2014 respectively.

Neter

Neter are a Spanish four-piece which I hadn’t heard of before. Apparently they did release a first album about exactly six years ago (title: Nec Spe Nec Metu), but then everything turned into relative silence. Until now… the band returns with Idols, which lasts for forty five minutes.
