Dan Reed

Dan Reed, formerly of Dan Reed Network has released his third solo album titled ‘Transmission’.

Not being what you could call a fan of Dan Reed Network themselves, finding their music a bit to ‘polished’, something you could have heard a lot back in the eighties on American Forces Network, and sounding a bit like Hall & Oates, I was curious what this solo album would sound like.

And to be honest, I was rather disappointed. This album may have it’s roots in rock, but it’s not rocking.  This rather is some easy-listening music, you’d put on in the background and doze away on it.  Mind you, it’s not bad music, but being into rock, I’d almost call this super radio friendly music, even pop music at times.
