A short introduction: Septekh recorded a first MCD in 2012, called The Seth Avalanche, followed by the highly interesting full length Apollonian Eyes in 2013 (both of them released via Abyss Records). Then these Swedes decided to records their next album with Josef Zachrisson once again at the Silence Studio, with Plan For World Domination as working title. Result: one hour of septekhish Metal…

Going on in the vein of Apollonian Eyes, Plan For World Domination brings a catchy and timeless form of deadly Thrash Metal with both modern and, especially, old styled elements. The stuff combines, in a professional way, the essence of the Old School with 21st-century’s creativity. It mixes primitive nastiness with crafted melodies, and well-thought structures with fierce no-nonsense excerpts. And Septekh are one of the very few bands that know how to do this in a satisfying way. There are some Thrash’n’Roll elements that breathe the nastiness of the eighties scene; it is just one of the details that refers to the earliest years of Deathrash grotesquery. But with the splendid production (no clinically-exaggerated soberness!) you cannot ignore the modern identity of the band either.

Remarks the negative way: too little variation, too little balls. Too much competition lately…

Remarks the positive way: great thrashing riffing in general, and great competition to the current scene…
