Burtul

Burtul are a Saint Petersburg-based combo that now, after four years of existence, debut with their first full length, Bottom Astral, done via mighty Satanath Records. On this album, the band consisted of Ilya (b), Dima (g), Krom (g), S.D.I. (d), and Cherepan (v); Dima and S.D.I. left in mean time, by the way.

Bunker 66

Bunker 66 hail from Messina, an historical city on the Italian island Sicily. In 2009 they came with a very fine EP, Out Of The Bunker, and at the very end of 2012 the released their first full length via the label they are currently on, Infernö Interceptörs (the album) and High Roller Records (the label). Without any doubt that record was one of my favourite albums that very same year (for the review, see the update on February 16th 2013).

Baalberith

On the September 21st 2014-update, you can read the review I wrote for the Satanath split-album The Antichristian Symphonies, a five-way split with e.g. English act Baalberith. And now we can enjoy their fourth full length in eight years of existence.

I would like to refer to the review on the split for this band’s history, and to the worldwide net for their huge discography.

Scar For Life

Line up :

Rob Mancini – Vocals

Alexandre Santos – Guitars

Teen Asty – Bass

Special guest : Vinnie Appice - Drums

The band revolves around founder and guitarist Alexandre Santos, who has worked with bevy of different musicians over the last six years or so. Worlds Entwined is the latest and features new vocalist Rob Mancini (Hotwire, Crush).

Saracen

If you were around in the 80ies, and were a fan of rock music, this band’s name might ring a bell.  They released their first album under the name Saracen in 1981.  There was a hiatus between 1984 and 2003, but in 2003 they again released a full length album.

Sanctus Infernum

Sanctus Infernum were formed in 2005 in Kansas, and they had two full lengths done at the end of last decade: their self-called debut in 2008, and Martyr in 2009. Then things went silent for quite some time, but now the band finally returns with their third full length, which is Other Gods.

Popravčí Vrch

Popravčí Vrch (aka Execution Hill) are a peaceful act from Czech Republic, formed in 2012 as a side-project by Poprava members Kat (v, b), Raborym (d; also known from his current or past activities in bands like Dark Fury [the review on their 2014-album Synningthwait was posted on July 21st; check it out!], Othar, Thoth, Thor’s Hammer or Selbsmord), and

Nebula VII

Good and bad news to start with. I think I saw / read somewhere (though I can’t remember where anymore) that Kadaath Records (a division of Rigorism Production from Russia) are put on hold, and apparently they didn’t release but one single thing in 2014, Nebula VII’s Dawn Of A New Era-album. So the bad news is the passing away of such an interesting label, the good news is that we have a new Nebula VII-album!

Halcyon Way

I reviewed another Halcyon Way album before, the IndoctriNation album, and what I wrote then, is still what I think about them today. Were it not for the many grunts and growls, I would actually like their music.

Draugûl

One year after the debut full length The Voyager, Draugûl return with the sophomore full length, once again released under the banner of the great Pesttanz-roster. The review on the debut, by the way, was posted recently on the site; check the update on September 21st 2014.
