A Thousand Sufferings

A Thousand Sufferings hail from Sint-Amands, close to Ghent (Belgium), and the band was formed in 2013 by former members of Vex and others. After some first gigs, (Dutch) co-founding member and singer Tijl died in an accident (thirty-six years of age, way too young), so that is why this first official A Thousand Sufferings release is, evidently, dedicated to this guy.

Love Sex Machine

A quick one once again, but one I really wanted to come back to. But it does not matter if being ‘short’ or ‘quick’, for the focus lies on the elementary elements (haha, what a lapsus).

So, Love Sex Machine hail from the most Northern shores of France, and in 2012, if I’m not mistaken, they had a first untitled release going on. And now they will conquer more ‘space’ with Asexual Anger, an eight-tracker that goes on in the vein of, and goes further than its predecessor.

Malamorte

Malamorte are a (new) project by Alessandro ‘Lord Vampyr’ Nunziati, known (currently or previously) from bands and projects such as Theatres Des Vampires, Cain, Shadowsreign, Sepolcrum, Lord Vampyr and some more.

Visoteric

Faunus Amadeus Loki acts under different monikers, both in collaboration with other artists (think Dracul - Order Of The Dragon), as well as solo (Herrenvolk, Stark von Oben, Endoki Forest); I recently wrote and updated the review for Endoki Forest’s Black Sorcerers Forest or Herrenvolk’s EP Imperator – see the upload of March 4th 2016 and March 28th 2016 respectively.

Plutonium

A short one, but I think worth being mentioned: Born Again Misanthrope by Plutonium. It’s an outfit by a guy who calls himself MR J, and with Born Again Misanthrope he releases a third full length under the Plutonium moniker, each time with quite some time in between them.

What does this stand for? Well, actually it’s a mostly weird and experimental form of Black-oriented Metal, quite eccentric and adventurous, with an overload on traditional aspects, smartly mingled with progressive and post-modern elements.

Oath

You know, it’s somewhat confusing to notice that Finnish duo Oath do not release their newest creation via Patologian Laboratorio Recordings. The latter is a label run by Aki ‘Grim666’ Klemm, who is part of many projects and bands that release their stuff via that label especially – think Kalmankantaja, Lathspell, Grimirg, Order Of The White Hand and many more.

Common Eider, King Eider

Art in its most virginal definition compiles more than lyrical, aural or visual creation. It’s the totality of artistic aspects that characterizes the deep essence of Art. When open-minded experimentalists join forces, the result can be quite global. Such an example is Common Eider, King Eider, an American collective that creates music especially, but books too, for example.

TSIDMZ

I was hesitating – would I write a short essay on the ‘Eurasian’ current or not… But in order to comprehend the philosophy behind TSIDMZ’s concept, it would be a missed chance not to do so. So here it is. The Eurasian ideas, as being related to an anti-capitalistic conviction, were born almost a century ago, trying to focus once again on the human being as existing like an entity of flesh and spirit, rather than being a part of an economic, world-dominative and fake-democratic mechanical construction.
