Divine Blasphemy

Divine Blasphemy are a new collaboration with current and former members from, for example, Diabolical Principles (the review on The Final Step Before The Dawn was updated on December 24th 2015), Mortuus Caelum (split Impetum In Tenebris: see November 10th 2014), Dizziness (split with Enoid and Mortuus Caelum, see former reference; new album Bound In Strength: February 7th 2016), Acrimonious (for a description on t

Dizziness

On November 10th 2014 we did upload the review I wrote for a split in between Mortuus Caelum, Enoid and Dizziness. The three of them did surprise me, but Dizziness simply impressed me. It might be a personal opinion, but their contribution on that Impetum In Tenebris split album was the best part on it. So I was quite pleased when the very same label, Lower Silesian Stronghold, did send me the newest effort by this Greek band.

Colossloth

Hailing from Leicestershire, Colossloth were formed a decade ago. It took three years before… No, actually, it has always taken several years in between each recording, and now we’re counting back to 2012, when Butterflies Are Witches was released. But don’t worry, because Cold Spring Records are now to release the newest Colossloth-album, entitled Outstretch Your Hand For The Impress Of Truth.

Orthanc

You know that I never mind writing something for an ‘older’ release, in case it is truly worth deserving my time and attention, and/or when some additional support / promotion can be of help. This certainly goes for some releases on the French label Hass Weg Productions. The reason is simple: honesty, pride, truth and especially: devotion!

Primeval Mass

Primeval Mass are an outfit from Athens, the capital city of Greece, which was formed in 2000. After some demonstrational recordings, the project around main man Orth (currently he’s involved with Eschaton too, by the way) did record and release a first album in 2009 (A Solemn Maelstrom, Stuza Productions), and a second one in 2012 (Blood Breathing Idols, Stuza Productions for tape, Katoptron IX for the CD-edition).

HateWire

UK’s sweetest HateWire did co-operate on a couple of splits with the likes of Drugzilla, Pressterror or Disco Cunt, and now they show up with their first official album, which sees the light via the totally frenzy label Legs Akimbo.

Heimskringla

First some Ivanpedia: ‘Heimskringla’ is based on mythological sagas from the thirteenth century, written by Norwegian ‘skald’ Snorre Sturluson, and dealing with the glorious kingdoms from Norway and Sweden during the ninth up to the twelfth century. But since this label is not an encyclopaedia, etc…

Yvon Serré

Id never ever heard of this man before, and when I put this CD on, my first thoughts were that he must originate from Louisiana – USA, as his French had a strange English sound.  But the I started gathering more information and found out he’s actually from Toronto – Canada, although he was born in Ontario. While not bringing us bad music, it’s funny to hear the lyrics, if you’re used to hear regular French.  The music itself, well, it has a bit of Cheap Trick in it I guess, but also other influences.

Gang

I knew this band existed, but had never heard any work of them before, despite the fact they have

Allseits

In my case, the name Nina Kernicke did not immediately ring a bell, but when I noticed that she’s part, from time to time, of the Troum live line-up, my attention got caught intensively. It turns out that this German artist acts solo as All Sides, as well as under the moniker of Allseits.
