Exuviated

After many years of silence, Belgium’s finest Exuviated, hailing from the southern part of the country (the French-speaking region), finally return with their second full length album, after 2011’s Morpheus Orphan.

Aornos

Aornos are a new outfit by Tátrai ‘Algras’ Csaba, who’s (currently and previously) known as well from Hungarian bands like Frost, Bornholm or Carcharoth. The material for this debut release was written as from 1998 (!), and recorded in between 2009 and 2014.

Satanika

Acting under quite a non-inspirational moniker, Satanika are here to punish the world with their frenzy definition of sonic harshness. Formed in Rome in 2009, the band did record and release two hands full of EP’s, a couple of full lengths, and they contributed on a split with Columbia’s Revenge.

Celestial Dirge

It has been quite a while since I got in touch with a new Distant Voices-release, with exception of the split with Brouillard and Arbre (you can read the review on Brouillarbre on the update of December 23rd 2015). Apparently there was a new album by Misery but unfortunately it didn’t come out my way (and oops, but I was about to add a weeping smiley…). Anyway, this French label did never disappoint me. First of all the projects signed to their roster are of a qualitative high standard.

Funebria

Funebria are a Black Metal act from Venezuela, but outside their home country, I do not think they are well-known. …until now, for having Satanath Records taking care of their new full length. Actually, in their ten years of existence (the band was formed in 2004) they didn’t release that much stuff: a demo, an EP and one full length (all of them during the last decade), and in 2012 they contributed on the Two Headed Beast split with Veldraveth.

Ancient sphereS

The connection in between Costa Rica and the Russian label Satanath Records is quite important; cf. releases by bands like Alastor Sanguinary Embryo, Corpse Garden or Inhuman (all of them have been, or soon will be reviewed for one or another release, so keep attentive!).

Debauchery

Two years after the fine album Kings Of Carnage (review uploaded on September 22nd 2013, written by colleague Jeroen), German death army Debauchery returns with ninth studio full length album, which was recorded at the House Of Audio Studio with Dennis Ward once again (known for lesser, eh, ‘intense’ bands and projects actually, such as Edenbridge, Sunstorm, Allen / Lande, Krokus or Jaded Heart).

Chaoswolf

ChaosWolf are a semi-productive outfit by Mexican ‘singer’ Chaoswolf, and known for being a psychic infection, delusional, fighting against all trends within the Black Metal scene. Once again he joined forces with Berserker and Senectus, colleagues in bands like Black Desolation, Divine Dynasty or the great Calvarium Funestus. Templo De Palabras Muertas is the second full length, with material written in between Spring 2013 and late 2014.

Avitas

Hailing from the Canadian Western lands, Kelowna, British Columbia, Avitas are an Atheistic Libertarian Nationalistic and Anti-Abrahamic one-man army; not of the empty-headed racist kind, yet rather from a political-philosophical one.

Blackdeath

Russia’s Blackdeath (the one from Saint Petersburg) did climb up to be one of the most notorious acts from their home country on international scale.
