Vermilion

Vermilion are a Belgian quartet, consisting of Michael Penson (keyboards, synths, sampling, production, mix, mastering), Timmy Segers (6- and 8-string guitars, lyrics and artwork), Tom Vansteenkiste (drums, samples, programming), and Tom Everaert (fretless & 5-string bass).

Moonreich

Moonreich are a French one-man army, or at least for the better part is still is, and so it was in the past. At this moment, founding member Weddir is recruiting permanent members to help him out live on stage and in order to record new stuff in the future. But still he remains the main character in his Moonreich-outfit.

Of Spire & Throne

Of Spire & Throne are a Sludge / Doom act from Edinburgh, Scotland, that released several EP’s before (and a split with Ortega, another fine band on their current roster, Aesthetic Death). With Sanctum In The Light, the trio releases its first full length CD.

Bliksem

Two years and a half after the cool debut Face The Evil, Flemish act Bliksem (which is Dutch for lightning) return with their second full length album, Gruesome Masterpiece, released via the alternative and independent German label Iron Will. The stuff lasts for fifty two minutes and was produced and mixed by Martin Furia.

Fathomhell

Fathomhell are a Spanish outfit by Ludwigar. In 2012 the project recorded an EP, called Non Pietatem Erit (self-released on CD and shortly after re-issued on tape via Runenstein Records), and now he releases three (new?) tracks, which were, once again, produced, mixed and mastered by José L. Palacios at La Dama Oscura / Dojo Producciones Studio.

Insepulto

Insepulto are an act from Costa Rica (of all places) that were formed during the first half of the nineties. However, back then they did not mean something important, maybe with exception within the local scene. They did split up, but in 2008 Insepulto reformed, and in 2012 the band did release a first album, called Morbid Spawn Of Resurrection via Wydawnictwo Muzyczne Psycho from Poland.

Moloch

Solo-project by Sergiy Fjordsson, one of the most productive projects on Mater Terra. I did write several reviews before, so check the site for more info. Not this time, just fast forward to the aural side of this Ukraine-based outfit.

Aeonless

Aeonless are a new project by Georgi Georgiev, one of the most productive guys within the Bulgarian netherworlds. You will surely recognize bands / projects like Calth, Raggradahr, Perverse Monastyr or Forgotten Forests if you do follow the Bulgaria-based underground scene. For this specific project, Georgi joined forces with a same-minded guy from Finland, Jori Hautala, who ‘sings’ in Aeonless (+ some synths).

Labyrinth Spell

Labyrinth Spell are a Brazilian act that started in 2000. But despite a decade and a half of existence, they were not quite active with only a limited amount of demonstrational recordings. In 2012 and 2013 the quintet recorded their debut full length studio album (at the Gramute Studio in their home country), which was eventually independently released in 2013.

The Ukrainian label Vacula Productions, home to many great acts, decided to re-issue this material the decent way on CD. Eternal thanks!

Creeping

Hailing from New Zealand, and with current and former members of e.g. The House Of Capricorn, Abystic Ritual and Ulcerate, Creeping return with their third full length, after almost five years of silence. Revenant gets released on both vinyl via Iron Bonehead Productions (they will release the stuff as well the digital way) and on compact disc via Daemon Worship Productions.
