Mara
A mara is a rodent from Patagonia and some other areas in Argentina. That’s biology. This site is not about nature science, although beastly attitudes and carnivorous behaviours are not uncommon…

Well, a split in between NunSlaughter and Hatevömit, bringing Devil Metal and Vomit Metal respectively, that must be an ideal new year’s present for your grandma! Happy new year, grannie, enjoy…
Well, this was something I did look forward to so passionately! When Aleksey Korolyov told me there would be a new Abigorum album, I couldn’t wait to listen to it. I was (and still am) very impressed by all former material he created under this moniker. But there was more. Apparently he did not create this album on his own anymore. No, this time he co-operated with some other musicians, turning Abigorum from a solo-outfit into a real band.
Not that long ago, I received a very promising message: Corona Barathri would install a totally new label, at the one hand as a (digital only?) distro for occult Underground Music, as well as for the release of some new Corona Barathri recordings.
In the introduction for the re-release of Black Sorcerers Fortress by Endoki Forest, I gave a short description about the history behind the guy who runs both the young Hyperborean Age Records label and the interesting projects he’s involved with. So I am not going to repeat myself; check out that chronicle in case of interest (link: below). I just wonder: John, where are you?! What with the label?...
Cryo Chamber is an American label (from Oregon, to be more specific) that focuses, as stated on their Bandcamp page, on high quality dark ambient with a cinematic edge. The label is run by Simon Heath, sonic and visual artist, and the guy behind acts like Sabled Sun, Atrium Carceri or ‘legendary’ (sadly defunct) Za Frûmi. And within the Dark Ambient genre, Cryo Chamber for sure is (one of) my favourite(s) worldwide.
I do not know whether it is to celebrate their 25th anniversary; ah, it doesn’t really matter… Anyway, Italian act Frostmoon Eclipse returns, after more than three years of absence, with their seventh full length studio album. The band was formed in 1994 by Claudio Alcara (who used to be part of the mighty Handful Of Hate line-up too).
When I think of Palma De Mallorca, I usually see beaches and bars, bikinis and more bars, beaches and bikinis (there’s nothing else to experience out there, you see; and since I do not like beaches, I’ll focus on the bars and the bikinis…). But this Balearic island is also home to Helevorn, a combo that celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. Happy birthday to you and stuff… No, seriously, Helevorn are a band from the city of Palma, dwelling around as from the very end of last century.
…an older one, released about one year ago, yet too interesting to ignore… …yet I’ll keep it short…
Five years and something ago, two Canadian musicians joined forces under the Zaum banner with one goal: to create a form of Doom that trespasses all boundaries and limitations. Kyle Alexander McDonald (Shevil) and Christopher Lewis (Iron Giant) created a first album in 2014, which was the impressive Oracles via I Hate Records (link: see below).
