Iris Divine

This band is a three-piece at heart, musically rooted in the raw energy and rhythmic interplay of Rush and King's X. Fans of dark, guitar-driven rock bands from Alice In Chains, Deftones to the contemporary metal riffing of Lamb of God and Pantera, will connect to the heavy core of Iris Divine's sound.

Insanity Reigns Supreme

I’ve mentioned it a hundred times before, but Belgium was quite an impressive yet hugely underestimated country during the glorious days of Old. The U.S.A. and Sweden, as well as Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland, that were some of the protagonists, but back then countries like Greece, Spain and Belgium were at least as impressive, at least when talking about quality (the quantity, that’s another story).

Ill Omen

Remnant Spheres Of Spiritual Equilibrium was originally released in 2012/2013 on tape via Abyssic Commune in an edition of 50 copies only, but Nuclear War Now! Productions did put this stuff on vinyl. And for your information, the original material was remastered by BR (Grave Upheaval / Temple Nightside), and it comes with new cover artwork.

I Am Giant

I Am Giant is a band I’m not familiar with, but as it turns out they have already toured with Slash, and have played numerous gigs all over the world .   The band was formed in 2008 in London, and released their debut album ‘The Horrifying Truth’ in 2011’, album that became the highest selling rock album of 2011 in New Zealand  (Kiwi’s must have liked them a lot…).  Despite being a band being formed in London – UK, there was only one Brit in original the line-up, whereas all the other are from New Zealand.

Demoncy

Please forgive me for being brutal (or do not, for I do not care, actually), but I will keep this very short. But this is the x-th re-release of Demoncy’s Joined In Darkness, and I do not want to waste my time on unnecessary stuff. So, here a very short biography: Demoncy are an outfit by Ixithra (think: Incursus, Profanatica, Mysterian, Profane Grace (!), Crimson Moon and many more), formed more than twenty five years ago.

Ars Veneficium

Finally! The first release of Belgian horde Ars Veneficium! All together: joepie! Why such enthusiasm? Well, actually I need to do so, because this is one of the bands Immortal Frost ProductionsS. is involved with, so I cannot but to be positive…

Arcanum Inferi - Grimwald - Northern Tod

We recently received more than a hand full of releases from Ukrainian label Vacula Productions, and a couple of them have been reviewed in mean time by undersigned. Some others are about to follow, but I surely want you to inform about / to introduce to the Saturnia Tellus… Memories From The Eternal Cult-split, consisting of three Italian acts, each of them bringing two compositions.

Vircolac

Vircolac from Ireland… Codex Perfida, their debut, lasting for 23:36 minutes (four tracks). ‘at once grounded in filth, bulldozing and palpitating, doomed-out and disgusting’, or a ‘study of contrasts, set amongst a haunting ‘n’ harrowing soundfield and shot through with violent execution’. What do you think?... Are you willing to continue reading? Of course you are…

Tartaros

All right, and beware: this stuff is pretty old, going for the original writings as well as the recordings. So don’t expect to hear something in the vein of the recent trends, okay…

Skygge

When Naturmacht Productions gave me the opportunity to listen to Knokkelkraft, the debut for Norwegian act Skygge, I swore eternal gratitude to this label. …kind of… Seriously, I was enormously impressed by this stuff conceived by multi-instrumentalist Frank ‘Skyggemester Kuldegys’ Bratten (formerly also in Viðr and Frozen Cries, by the way).
