Iron Mask

As many of you will know by now, Iron Mask is the more popular side-project of Belgian Neo-Classical Power Metal guitarist Dushan Petrossi (of Magic Kingdom), formed in 2002 (with MK bassist Vassili Moltchanov also joining in the band, Youri De Groote behind the keyboards, and Phil Letaw as lead singer) and for which Petrossi signed to Finnish label Lion Music.

Impending Doom

And so, I am again reviewing an album which would normally have been worked on by my revered Death Metal specialist colleague Ivan, due to the fact that our editor-in-chief overlooked passing the album onto him and, because he already had put enough on the poor dude's slate, subsequently put it on mine...using the (absolutely valid) excuse that occasionally all the work is getting at him (of course, that relates in the first place to the daytime job, which sees him left with so little free time he's occasionally sleepwalking on his days off!).

High Hopes

Although formed only in early 2012, this Reading (England, UK) based Melodic Metalcore act (not to be confused with the Pop/ Punk band from Canada, or the Reggae act known as Hogh Hopes Band from New England, USA) consisting of singer Nick Brooks, guitarists Nathan Pryor and Krishan Pujura, bassist Shaun Flanagan and drummer Daryl Pryor have reasons to be proud of the things they already achieved!

Hell

In early 1982, three members (guitarist Kevin Bower, bassist Tony Speckman, and drummer Tim Bowler) of the NWoBHM band Paralex (which up to then had released 3 demos and a 1980 EP entitled White Lightning – the band would continue to exist until 1986, delivering 3 more demos) joined forces with singer/ guitarist Dave G.

Falcon (ex-Circle)

With their leading 7-inch single Beer And Ribs released well ahead of the album (3 months and a half ahead, actually), anticipation for the Falcon (ex-Circle) full-length debut had certainly been rising at Casa Tony... but I have not found myself disappointed with the result!

East Of The Wall

Gee, found no history-of-the-band relating to this Keyport based New Jersey Prog/ Technical Metal outfit, consisting of guitarist/ singer Matt Lupo (whom appears to be the only remaining original member); guitarist/ melodic singer Greg Kuter, guitarist Ray Suhy (the latter two the latest additions), bassist/ scream singer Chris Alfano (formerly the band's bassist; also active in the band Argonauts), and drummer Seth Rheam (also active with El Drugstone)...so I'll just have

Die Krupps

Unbelievable...the event which millions of Die Krupps fans had been anticipating for a decade and a half has finally happened : their favourite band finally made a follow-up full-length for their great 1997 studio album Paradise Now!

Circle

Gore bloody hell...excuse my French, but you would use that kind of terminology too, if you heard what the set of musicians which hired the Circle brand name for this album, bring on Incarnation!

Boston

Life, Love & Hope is the sixth studio Album by American rock band Boston. It is their first studio album in eleven years after the death of lead vocalist Brad Delp. The album includes volcals from Brad Delp and Tommy Decarlo, as well as Kimberley Dahme, David Victor, and songwriter Scholz himself.

Tragodia

Northern Italy-situated city of Brescia was the place where Tragodia was born, (In 1996) and where their music started to shape. After releasing in 1998 a critical-acclaimed demo-tape, “Dramas in splendent realms”, a self-produced mini-CD in 2001 “All our miseries” and several line-up changes, Tragodia finally had their first album “The Promethean Leagcy” released in 2007 by Dutch label Dark Balance Records.
