A new label curated by Raffaele Pezzella, that does not sound bad at all, does it.

I am not going to write any introduction on this band, nor the label, for you can check out one of the former reviews I did for this band or label. When it comes to Ars Veneficium, see the links below; for the label, you can enter the name in the ‘search’-tab and so on…
Mystic Rites are a project from Poland that surprised a couple of times with independently released material. Main member Nebiros however had some ideas that did not totally fit to Mystic Rites, so he decided to start another outfit. This one eventually got baptised as Thorns Of Grief. We’re talking about the year 2018.
Very recently I got in touch with a young Poland based label, Depressive Black Ambient Records, run by a fine guy, Chris. The label focuses on Black Metal, Ambient and Drone material especially, and they are – and the next phrase I did steal from them, haha – not looking for anything. Anesthesiologically severe. Immersed in deep hypothermia. Where the breath is already imperceptible.
For some reason - do not ask me how - or when, where, whatever - I did not review Nur Ein Moment…, the predecessor of …In Stille. A pity, for this band deserves some (any) additional support and promotion. The same, evidently, goes for the label involved, Hypnotic Dirge Records (although, for this magnificent Saskatoon, Canada based label, I did several other reviews before, for this label deserves any additional attention whatsoever; but that is another story).
With some delay, this album came my way (initially send to the former boss of this webzine, my dear friend, who passed away) – but hey, never mind, because it is never too late to express appreciation.
Maybe a strange one on this site, but seen the label involved, I think it was my duty to write down my thoughts on this recording, for both label and the band do deserve some additional support and promotion for sure.
Égrégore gets released as a Common Eider, King Eider release, but a little nuance is appropriate.
First I have to make a confession. I did not know this band from Belarus. Seriously, I had not heard of Reido before. And you know, I am gonna make it up all right, because this release… Nope, first things first.
I’d like to start with a sad announcement. No, wrong, I actually wish I did not need to announce this. But apparently Woebegone Obscured decided to split up last year. A moment of doom and woe. And damn, it does fit to their last effort, which was (and still is) called The Forestroamer.
