Corona Barathri & Emme Ya

This release is a split in between two projects that wander within the darkest netherworlds of occultism. The material gets released both digitally as on compact disc, be it in three different - and strongly limited, so hurry - editions. One of them even includes a t-shirt!

Arcane Voidsplitter

What will the stars tell us?…

Introduction, part one …

Stijn Van Cauter is a very sympathetic guy, but he’s also a talented musician. I adore about all acts he’s involved with – some more than others, yet I think he’s a notoriety within the worldwide (Funeral-oriented) Doom scene. Some names: Until Death Overtakes Me, Inframonolithium, Beyond Black Void, The Sad Sun – enfin, I can sum up two hands full of projects (often solo) that I like, seen from aural point of view.

Zohamah

I admit that I had not heard of Zohamah before. Apparently it is an outfit by Hezi Menashe, whom you might know from his collaboration with Folk / Pagan band Romuvos or Death Metal act Spawn Of Evil.

Blurr Thrower

Totally new to me, Blurr Thrower seems to be a mysterious one-(wo)man outfit from Paris, France. With the two-tracker Les Avatars Du Vide (‘avatars of the void’), Blurr Thrower did debut last year (in July, more exactly) independently and digitally (cf. their Bandcamp-page).

Vomitile

One of the longest-living, and most influential, (Death) Metal bands from Cyprus is Vomitile, active since 2007. They have three official releases since then, the independently released EP Rotting Life (2010), the debut full length Igniting Chaos (Horror Pain Gore Death Productions, very early 2013), and Mastering The Art Of Killing (2014, Pitch Black Records).

Misanthropic Existence

When you call your band ‘misanthropic existence’, I know that you’re doing a great job. So be welcomed, Misanthropic Existence!

Actually, this band was formed at the very beginning of this decade. In 2012 they recorded a first demonstrational mini-recording, and two of these tracks also made it, that very same year, to a split with Baalberith, Razakel Krieg and Mantarok (Satanica Productions). Then things went silent…

Amissa Anima

Purely coincidentally, I crossed paths with a project I did not know yet, being Amissa Anima. Investigation (no, I am not some federal agent) taught me that Amissa Anima is a solo-outfit by one Tereza Terka Voglová, a (young) lady from Prague, the capital of the Czech republic. Tereza is the sole human being behind this project, taking care of both lyrics and song writing, as well as the production, the mix and the mastering.

Leibstandarte

Lyon is a very old French city (founded by the Romans more than two millennia ago), at the feet of the Alpes, and not that far away from the Swiss border. The city has a beautiful centre, several acceptable wine houses (it’s there where Rhône and Saone ‘melt’ together), and it houses the head office of Interpol. Lyon also is home to LeibStandarte (not the Greek one), a young formation that recorded and independently released a very limited three-track demo in 2017. FYI: the tracks from that demonstrational recording return on their debut.

Troum

In 1997, after Maëror Tri split up, Stefan and Martin (aka Baraka[H] and Glit[s]ch) decided to continue their collaboration under the moniker of Troum. It was a sad thing to notice that Maëror Tri were no more, but I am so pleased – and I am sure this goes for a worldwide audience as well – that these two guys went on under their new moniker.
