Hidden Masters

Of This and Other Worlds is a 10 track CD full of beautiful and powerful masterpieces that are performed with so much feeling and passion, the intensity of each track is so deep you wonder what was going around the time of writing and recording.

Hate Meditation

Once formed as a temporary side-project, Blake ‘Azentrius’ Judd’s Hate Meditation was supposed to be a tribute outlet to bands like Blasphemy, Von, Profanatica and Beherit. There was a three-track demo in the first half of last decennium, but then things went silent.

Circle Of Silence

At the beginning of 2005, the band started out as a two-man project of Tobias (Guitar) and Björn (Bass). And as time passed by, the project grew to a 5 membered band. In March 2006, the current Line-Up of Circle Of Silence was completed by Nick (Vocals), Chris (Guitar) and Pit (Drums). The result is an aggressive (Power) Metal band with catchy songs and melodies.

V8 Wankers

Got Beer? This is the standard question at a festival like Munich’s Oktoberfest. After all what would a tour of the beer tent be like without that quaffable barly pop? And what would it be like without music. Some may call for a brass band or German pop music, but what if you happen tob e into rock ’n roll, dirty jokes and noisy guitar riffs? In that case, V8 Wankers are your best bet! Their latest album Got beer? is pure- bred rock ’n roll, complete with a snotty punk attitude and a brilliant sense of humor.

Freedom Call

After 7 recordings, a live dvd and some live recordings it’s time for a best of from Freedom Call’s best songs they made in fifteen years This album got the name Ages of Light. The band around Chris Bay toured a lot with bands like Edguy, Blind Guardian and Hammerfall.

Age of Taurus

While the melodies presented on Desperate Souls aren't groundbreaking for the genre, they are quite good and will certainly appeal to fans of doom metal bands such as Solitude Aeturnus, Trouble, Candlemass, Desolation Angels and Wall Of Sleep.

A Pale Horse Named Death

The first time we’ve heard from this band, A Pale Horse Named Death, was in 2011. Former drummer of Type O Negative, Life Of Agony, Sal Abruscato started this band. He has been hiding three things for us a long time; that he can play guitar, that he’s a pretty good vocalist and that he can write songs.

Sal Abruscato and Matt Brown have followed 2011’s incredible introduction, which keeps the band’s patented signature formula of slow, deliberate sludge and head- down doom in tact.

Valient Thorr

Valient Thorr come from North Carolina and were founded in 2000. Although they had been very busy and Our Own Masters is already their sixth album, I wasn't familiar with their music so far. But listening to the twelve songs on the new record has been a positive experience. Valient Thorr are a punk'n'metal band that sounds like a crossbreed of Zen Guerilla, Baroness and Pennywise The melodic component plays an important role in most Thorr's songs.

Church of Misery

It took Church of Misery four years to release their fourth CD titled Thy Kingdom Scum. CoM are a quartet from Japan that combines elements of doom, stoner and NOLA sludge in a fascinating way. They ass to this an incredibly authentic seventies low fuzz feeling that won me over instantly. Foremost I am impressed by the dynamic production that helps this album to develop its sound structures even more.

Blood Ceremony

The Eldritch Dark is a massive album for Blood Ceremony. The album is full of great performances, beautiful writing, and an injection of folk catchiness that the band had only flirted with on prior outings. Do not be afraid though, there is still the classic band at the heart of the album. Still mixing their brand of occult doom with seventies rock elements the band runs through the album without a single note sounding forced or out of place. The driving force behind the band is flutist, organist and singer Alia O' Brien her voice is very important
