Fans of the band will know what to expect from ‘Blind Rage’ but for those of you who are still unfamiliar, I need only say two words ‘HEAVY METAL’!

Obscure Burial

Two years after the first demo-tape, which was called God’s Abomination, the Finnish horde Obscure Burial returns with the sophomore demonstrational recording, once again released on cassette via mighty Invictus Productions. The band, with members of Ancestors Blood, Inferi, Kadotus and Urgamla, is quite experienced, seen the members’ other outfits, and it shows!

Charnia

Charnia are a quartet (Seppe Batens, Thibaut Meiresonne-Keppens, Diederik Van Eetvelde, and Jelle Pieters) from the Waasland-region, Belgium, formed in 2012. They built quite some impressive live reputation, yet for this debut we had to wait two years. But no tears anymore, for now we can enjoy the first studio recording, Dageraad (Dutch for ‘dawn’ or ‘daybreak’).

Axel Rudi Pell

As I mentioned here, 2014 is becoming an excellent year for Heavy Metal. The 53-year old German guitar player Axel Rudi Pell, who has been on the road since 1981, has just released his sixteenth studio album, ‘Into the Storm’, and the final result is so pleasant that it will be hard for any headbanger not to enjoy it.

Taatsi

Taatsi are a Finnish two-piece project, which started writing and composing material at the end of 2013. In January 2014 they digitally released two songs, which immediately drew attention of Forever Plagued. This great American label signed Taatsi in order to record and release a full length with them. Things seemed to work well, and the debut full length Amidst The Trees is available as from now on. The review on this album will be written and updated very soon.

Moonland feat. Lenna Kuurmaa

The anticipated MOONLAND project finally brings back to the spotlight on the international Rock music markets Estonian singer, actress and TV personality Lenna Kuurmaa. Lenna has been the front-woman of the Pop-Rock sensation VANILLA NINJA, an all-female outfit, which debuted in 2002 with their self-titled album and went on to release  internationally another 3 very successful studio albums (which won Gold Records awards in Germany, Austria and Platinum in their home country, Estonia).

Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz born May 26, 1964. Is an American rock singer-songwriter. He can play many instruments, is record producer, actor and arranger…and many other things. His first album came out in 1989 with the hit “Let Love Rule” and still making new albums…

Falgar

How many bands do you know from Puerto Rico? My knowledge is limited to two hands full of Death and Black Metal combos, with an act like Azmaveth absolutely belonging to my favourites from the Caribbean region (their Strong As Death-album was one of my top-albums in 2008). Well, now I am truly pleased to meet Falgar. I heard of this solo-project of Etienne Goldberg, but I had not heard any of the material before.

Dhwesha

I honestly do not know that many interesting bands from India, with a couple of exceptions, such as Demonic Resurrection (their new album The Demon King will be written and updated in a couple of minutes (slightly optimistic); you can also read the review I did for the former album, The Return To Darkness, posted on October 27th 2010 – see Concreteweb’s Archive) or Kryptos (update October 31st 2012: album The Coils Of Apollyon).

Deviator

I do not know if I can call it a present to humanity, but to celebrate their definitive and irreversible farewell, Deviator bless / curse mankind with a compilation, which sees the light (and darkness!) through Germany’s top-label Pesttanz Klangschmiede (about ten other releases have been reviewed recently by undersigned, and have been posted in July, August or September; check the site and find out what qualitative material Pesttanz have to offer…).
