Daughtry

If you like Nickelback then ead no further, and simply buy this album, because Daughtry sounds almost exactly like the aforementioned band. Frontman Chris Daughtry took part in American Idol, but stranded in fourth place. Nevertheless he kept going in the music business, and has so far released two albums, of which the second one ‘Break The Spell’ managed to reach number 8 in the American Billboard chart.

Traumahelikopter

Youth of today...they can be a weird lot: give 'em half a chance an they'll be putting down their parents' experiences down as negligible facts...but when music comes into play, some of the dudes will hark back to days of yore and identify with specific genres of “back when”! Which is quite alright, because you know, a funny thing about music, especially when we're talking “Rock” music, is that in due time certain sub-genres will come back for a while.

The Horse Company

This Dutch Alternative/ Indie Rock quartet (consisting of singers/ guitarists Arjen & Vincent Hilberdink, bassist Arjan Pronk, and drummer Jeroen Hobert) based in Zwolle (situated in the northern part of middle Holland, roughly between Amsterdam and Enschede) first let itself be heard on album with their self-titled debut, released in April of 2007.

Royal Parks

Anybody ever heard about a Dutch guitarist/ singer/ keyboardist/ songwriter/ producer by the name of Diederik Nomden? If you have, kudos for you. Here are perhaps some details about him you don't know yet!

Meroe

Hum...do you know, Meroë is an historical city on the right side of the river Nile, situated some 200 north from Karthoum, Sudan, and is known maily from the more than 200 piramids found on the West side of the town. The town was populated from around 800 BC to 350 AC, and was the capitol city of the Kingdom of Koesj for 7 centuries. The reason why the town was eventually abandoned, remains obscure, although there's speculation that the town was taken over by the Kingdom of Aksum around that time.

Martha Wainwright

Born on May 8, 1976 as the daughter of Loudon Wainwright III (US Folk singer and actor) and Kate McGarrigle (Canadian Folk singer-songwriter), Martha Wainwright was raised into a musical family alongside her older brother Rufus Wainwright in Montreal (Quebec, Canada), and it was only a matter of time before she would put her own steps into the music business.

Lonewolf

The French metallers of Lonewolf don't leave anything to chance. They offer metal of the purest sort and they don't retaliate to show it. When listening to the fourth track on their latest album, which goes by the name of Army of the damned, they shout it out in a way that could never have been clearer: "We are what we are and we are metal!" I think this is a profound as it gets.

Impera

Impera is one of those hard rock bands that has an incredible high potential when it comes to the music itself, but will know very little success on a long term. The reason is simple. It's a project with an incredibly talented guitarist, composer, producer, namely Mister Tommy Denander, who is far from the lazy metalhead. He's been doing so many projects these last years, it will almost be impossible to find Impera on tour in the near future. Which is of course a shame. However, never say never.

Hardcore Superstar

Beware, because the Swedish hardrockers of Hardcore Superstar are back. Growing in style and success, they have just released their ninth full length album, entitled C'Mon Take On Me.
While lots of bands decide to take the safe lane, Hardcore Superstar do it just the other way. Full speed ahead is their lifestyle! The band has been around for quite some time (since 1998 to be exact) and is finally beginning to gain more and more popularity around the (metal) world.

Dallas

Named after singer/ guitarist/ keyboardist/ programmer Bryan Dallas, this now San Fransisco based Melodic Hard Rock outfit was formed during 2010 at the Dallas Ranch, high in the hills of Castro Valley (in a bird's eye, that would be about 35 km East by South-East from San Fransisco – 45 km when you go by road), after Bryan played some demos to friends Zac Curtis (drums/ triggers; first to join) and Matt Feifert (keybass/ keyboards/ backing vocals; joined when he moved into the ranch).
