Genune

Last year, more exactly on April 25th 2021, the extremely fine Romania-based label Loud Rage Music did release the album Inert & Unerring by Genune, a band hailing from the North of Romania. It was a release on jewel-case compact-disc, deeply appreciated by undersigned. Evidently, you could (and still can) find the digital edition via various sources as well.

Gnaw Their Tongues

I will keep this review’s introduction very succinct, for I sort of did introduce Noise artist (hehe, sounds cheesy) Mories a couple of times before in reviews for acts like Aderlating, De Magia Veterum, Cloak Of Altering or Gnaw Their Tongues. You can search for it (by entering that moniker in the “search” tab), you can think you know everything, you might pretend as if you don’t care, you xxx [self-censorship]

RDS-220

Anti-pacifists will recognize the name ‘rds-220’ as an extremely powerful Russian nuclear bomb from that time when West and East weren’t best friends yet. Nowadays, that did change, haha. No, I am not going to turn this story into a political one, but an ‘rds-220’ was used as propaganda material from the former Soviet government against the western enemy – the Iron Curtain story, you know…

A-Sun Amissa

In 2011, Gizeh Records owner Richard Knox (also in e.g. Shield Patterns, Glissando and The Rustle Of The Stars) started a project called A-Sun Amissa as an instrumental outlet for his many ideas.

Alkerdeel

One of the sickest bands from Belgian soil, playing so-called ‘filthy blacksludgedronedoom’ (sounds like an erotic whisper in my ear…), is Alkerdeel, a four-piece that was formed in 2007. As from the early years, ten years ago, this trio performs an extremely raw, noisy form of, indeed, Black / Sludge / Drone / Doom stuff, and undersigned truly adores every single recording this act did in the past. Except for two, and it sadistically hurts: their split with Nihill and their co-operation with Gnaw Their Tongues. Why?

Empusae & Klankdal

Some math (no meth!) before starting the review: one plus one might be more than two. My sons do not agree, since their teacher tried to convince them that one plus one simply makes two, always, no exception. My autistic half totally agrees. 1 + 1 = 2. I checked it on the web, and indeed, this formula leaves no room for conflict or friction. But still, my stubborn part might be convinced of the opposite.
