Cea Serin

An album that contains only 5 tracks, and has total playing time of just over 47 minutes is quite unusual.  The band already exists since 1997, and has previously released some demo’s and finally their first studio ‘Wher Memories Combine’ album in 2004.

Vermiin

Vermiin are a new project, formed very recently by John Stillings, the guy behind Steel Hook Prostheses (and part of the Kerrstillingskozletskynyströmpetrus-collaboration), and Bathory Legion. John co-operated with Bathory Legion before (even live), so that explains the cohesive interaction of both parties.

Valkeryon

Gosh, a band from Panama-City (you know, the capitol city of Panama, situated on both sides of the Panama Canal, which connects the Atlantic with the Pacific Ocean?), that's certainly something which doesn't come along every day! Which might explain why I found no extra info on the Progressive Power Metal band, other that that which they sent along with the download promo of the album (info which can also be found on their website), so I guess we'll have to make due with that, eh?

Bleach Everything / Vors

I have to admit that I did not know any of both projects involved with this split, but I wonder: did you? Actually, this split, with two US-based bands, will see the light via upcoming Magic Bullet Records, evidently via the digital channel, as well as on both black and white vinyl.

Spires

Spires were formed in 2008 in Manchester, U.K., by guitarist / vocalist and producer Paul Sadler. Shortly after, with a fix line-up (including Paul Cuthbert), Spires recorded a first album, Spiral Of Ascension, which was reviewed very positively by the international press. Our own colleague Tony wrote a very honourable review, which you can still read on Concreteweb (see update February 8th 2011, Archive-tab).

Skinflint

Skinflint originates from Botswana, a country more known for it’s diamonds than for it’s music.  I’d never heard of the band, yet is seems this is their fouth album already.  The band is made up of three musicians.

Raggradarh

Raggradarh are a very productive solo-outfit by a very productive Bulgarian human being, Georgi ‘Erilyne’ Georgiev. You might know him as well from bands or solo-outfits such as Aeonless (their new Vacula-album Underearth Horizons, by the way, will be reviewed in a very near future), Forgotten Forests, Calth or Perverse Monastyr, amongst others (often under different pseudonyms).

Project 86

Although this Christian rock band was already formed in Orange County – California in 1196, and have so far released eight albums, I admit never before having heard of this band.

Neonfly

Neonfly was formed in 2008 and that year they released their debut EP ‘Clever Disguise’, which was followed in 2011 by the release of their debut album ‘Stangers In Paradise’.  What they bring is is melodic metal, that immediately caught my attention

My Dying World ‘Mako’

A very young band from Ukraine is this one: My Dying World ‘Mako’, formed in Autumn 2013 by former DEC’50’s Sergey ‘Mako’ Tereschenko. He wrote some material, and after about ten months, he was joined by Artur ‘Shadow’ Goncharov on guitars. In mean time also a vocalist was recruited, i.e. Nikita ‘Ioria’ Eremeev.
