Ted Nugent

More than 30 million sold albums and thousands of concerts, the virtuoso and eccentric Ted Nugent returns to us with a live record of thunder. Ultralive Ballisticrock  has all that it is necessary. Rock n roll attitude with all the best of the best of the 70s until now. As usual, a perfect sound and energetic solos, jokes between songs , well a beautiful live compilation for all the fans of Mister Nugent.

Scar The Martyr

Scar the Martyr is an American metal band formed in 2013 as a side project for Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. The group was announced in April 2013 by the drummer and was shown to feature guitarist Jed Simon and Kris Norris. In June 2013 the group announced its name and full lineup, which includes Chris Vrenna, and relatively unknown vocalist Henry Derek Bonner.

Robert Dahlqvist

The Hellacopters disbanded amicably in 2008 so the members could move on to other projects. For whatever reason, guitarist Robert Dahlqvist of The Hellacopters saw fit to release an album as a solo artist.. The resulting album is both intriguing and inspiring in the variations.

Onslaught

Would you know...just when UK Speed Thrashers Onslaught wanted to go out on a major European tour in support of their previous album (Sounds Of Violence, review by yours truly with update since my review of the band's 2007 comeback album, posted 02/02/2011), one of the band's oldest members, drummer Steve Grice (whom was at the basis of the band's reformation in 2005) decides to quit.

Monster Magnet

After waiting again 3 years en new record from Monster Magnet with frontman and founder Dave Wyndorf. I was expecting a more powerful number with more content to open the cd. The title track is much better more than 9 minutes ; trippy arrangement , psychedelic and great melodies. “Three Kingfishers” is a cover from Donovan (album Sunshine Superman) at the late sixties.

Harbour Of Souls

Goes based Dutch Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal band Harbour Of Souls was founded some 2 years ago by now singer (then drummer) Martin de Jong and lead guitarist Jesper van Hoften, who'd by then already been playing in bands (together or apart) for ten years.

Deeds Of Flesh

For two decades, in mean time, Deeds Of Flesh are standard for massive, brain-splattering Death madness, and this through eight full lengths that all of them have been received with open arms (and banging heads!): Gradually Melted (re-released in 1998 via Repulse Records, the very same label that released both next albums too), Trading Pieces, Inbreeding The Anthropophagi (with guest vocals by Disgorge’s Matti Way), (and from now on via the band’s own record label Unique Leade

Death Hawks

Finland's Pshychedelic Rock act Death Hawks was founded in 2010's Spring by vocalist Teemu Markkula of the band Seremonia (who are signed to the Svart Records imprint) as a project to arrange and record some songs which he had written, but soon enough the interaction with the other musicians made him want to come out with the music through live performances.

Cleanteeth

I guess the easiest way to describe this band is to tag them with the sludge metal label. Their thick rhythms, distorted riffs, fat grooves, growling/throaty vocals and heavy as shit drumming is a trademark of the genre, so I guess that's what they are. It's very hard not to be drawn onto bands like Dukes of Nothing, Harvey Milk, 16, Amebix, Ken Mode, Weedeater, Sourvein and more when listening to this.
